The Porta group in figures
Porta was established in 1962 and we’ve gone a long way since then. Nowadays, it is a limited company but is still a family-run business.
The group employs 100 people with an average turnover of 10 million Euros (on the increase), 70% of which involves the sale of multicenters. Exports dominate with 60-70% of the turnover and are concentrated in Europe and North America.
It consists of three divisions, two in Italy and one in the United States:
- in Italy: Porta 1, for design and assembly, and Porta 2 for production of bases and parts

Our production
We design and build machining tools used in the production of components for the automotive, aeronautical, hydraulic and pneumatic sectors as well as others.
All our machines are manufactured and assembled in-house – this distinguishes us from many of our competitors who are only involved in assembly and enables us to guarantee higher quality and competitive prices.

- multicenter line:
For over 10 years, we have specialized in the construction of multicenters. Unlike most machining centers, multicenters combine various machining centers in one single cell. Our multicenters can be used for the production of medium/small batches and also for large series production when frequent equipment changes and high flexibility are required.
- transfer line:
We have over 40 years of experience in the field of transfer machines. Our machines can be used for large series production when it is only productivity, and therefore part cost that counts.
Depending on your requirements – type of production, time constraints, part cost and budget - we offer standard machines with varying levels of customization or turnkey made-to-measure production solutions.
